The Lone Gull 10k served as the USATF-NE 10k Road Championships in Gloucester, MA yesterday and put on quite the show. Amos Sang, newly dressed in orange for Team Run, took it right down to the wire with Ruben Sanca as he narrowly took the victory in 30’14 over Ruben’s 30’17”, setting a new course record. Sang’s close training partner and AIC grad Glarius Rop took the 3rd honors for the men in an incredible 30’25”.

The women’s course record was also broken as BAA member Heather Cappello smoked through the finish line in 34’45”, a good 42 seconds over teammate Katie Misuraca. Millennium Running star Denise Sandahl took the bronze medal with a 36’03” effort. The weather was a bit windy and cool, but it made for a fast day of racing.

We have race coverage courtesy of Mike Giberti. Feel free to enjoy. The race had hands down the best finish of any grand prix event this year!
