Congratulations are in order for Lou Serafini on his dominate win in the Harpoon Brewery 5 Miler. Lou ran a 23:33 (on what is reported to have been a somewhat short course), and won comfortably in doing so. Lou’s fellow Heartbreaker James Mayo was next in 25:09. After that, it was all Nurses.
Ian Nurse rounded out the men’s podium with his 3rd place, 25:47 finish. But he wasn’t the top dog in the Nurse household even with that stellar race. Nope, that distinction belongs to his better half, Amanda, who won the women’s race in 28:00.
Amanda’s time earned her 14th overall in the fairly deep field, and women’s race itself was a much closer contest than that of the men. Coming in second was GBTC contender Aly Millett in 28:17. In third place (29:34) was another familiar name: Lindsay Willard.
