Team USA Gets acidotic

We scored the big interview with Kim Nedeau (acidotic RACING) after she placed 3rd at the Loon Mountain Race on Sunday. By finishing in the top 4, Kim secured her spot on the US national team for the world mountain running championships in Bulgaria this September.

Kim ran a 59:03, which was also good enough for 35th overall. Keep in mind, this was a stacked field featuring not only the best mountain runners in the Northeast but also the country. This is just a continuation of what she started at Mt Washington, when she ran a 1:03:49 to finish as runner up to winner Kim Dobson (and 22nd overall!). Nedeau actually beat Dobson on Sunday, which is an impressive feat in and of itself.

Here’s our interview with the only mom on the Team USA squad this year:

Keep your eyes on our site and our Twitter feed. We have more video and recaps coming! It’s tough to get to it all with the lack of service in the mountains. For example, here’s a clip we got of CMS runner and national masters mountain running champ Regina Loiacano as she begin the unforgiving descent to the Upper Walking Boss. Regina ran a 1:06:11 and finished 12th overall.

More to come…
