Training Philosophy: Do not train more than what your day to day allows you to recover from. If you cross that threshold you are done.
Prerace Ritual: None, just make myself mentally ready for the pain that’s about to come.
Career High/Lowlights: Philly 2011; summer 2010 (see Proudest Moment for explanation)
Goals: Try to get a PR in Boston 2012 which will be very difficult. I would love to run sub 2:20 for the marathon.
Proudest Moment: Running a 2:23:37 in Philly 2010 after a summer when I could barely handle 6:00 pace for more than 4 miles due to allergy-induced asthma.
Miscellaneous: I used to be a competitive road cyclist back in Spain for more than 8 years. I think this is why now I am much better at longer distances compared to shorter races.
