Get On The Bus to XC Nationals!

A lot of New England seen here on the starting line at the 2012 USATF XC Club Nationals in Kentucky. Let’s see if we can top that in 2014!

Notice from the USATF-NE website. Rally your team and reserve your seats on the bus. They’re making it easy to represent New England on the national stage.

USA Track & Field New England is offering members subsidized bus transportation from three locations to the USA Fall National cross Country Championships in Bethlehem PA on December 13.

Itinerary:

Friday, December 12th:
Departure 7:00 a.m. - One bus will depart from the Route 128 Amtrak Station in Westwood, MA One bus will depart from the Amtrak station in Woburn, MA.
8:00 a.m. - One bus will depart from the Springfield Amtrak Station. All buses should arrive in Bethlehem PA approximately 1:00 pm depending on traffic.
After arrival, buses will have an afternoon trip from host hotel to the course for a run/preview

Saturday, December 13th:
Transportation to the race
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Buses will make a limited number of trips from host hotel to race course. Scheduled times for the championship races are as follows:

10:30 a.m. : Masters Women’s 6-K
11:30 a.m. : Masters Men’s 10-K
12:45 p.m.: Open Women’s 6-K
1:30 p.m.: Open Men’s 10-K
3:00pm: Final bus leaves course to host hotel

Sunday, December 14th:
Return Departure: 9:00 a.m. - All buses depart host hotel.

Details:
The trip is limited to current USATF-New England members (with or without a club) age 18 and older. The cost is $30 per person and is non-refundable with the one exception listed below. Sign-up is online only; the link can be found at www.usatfne.org/cross or can be accessed directly by clicking here.

Participants must sign up individually online from 10/31/2014 through 11/26/2014 at 5:00 p.m. Round trip to and from the same starting point only. Online sign-up includes a trip specific waiver and agreement. There is no alcohol permitted on buses.

Once in Lehigh, the bus will only stop at the host hotel, and make trips between that hotel and the race course. All other transportation needs should be arranged ahead of time by teams and individuals and is solely their responsibility.

Bus capacity is 55 travelers. Sign-up for any particular bus will stop when reaching that capacity. No additional buses will be added to the program.

If any bus from any of the three departure locations does not reach near capacity by November 26, USATF-NE reserves the right to cancel that bus and issue a full refund. Should space be available on a remaining bus, a reservation may be changed to that other departure point without penalty. Any impacted participant will be notified no later than 12/1/2014.
