We’re Growing…

We’ve been around for over three years now and we’re starting to get some legs under us. Strong legs. Runner legs. We’ve watched the growth, seen the trends, examined the numbers…and it’s hard for us to not get excited about it. We thought we’d share a little of that info with you so you could see for yourself just how rapidly we are expanding.

Comparing the first 7 months of 2013 versus 2014, we’ve experienced a 118% growth in site visitors and a 98% growth in page views. We’ve already surpassed all of 2013′s site traffic, and let me tell you, it’s a good feeling knowing that every day is a new PR. Right now we’re just raising the bar that much higher for 2015.

You know what hasn’t gone up by 100% in the last year? Our advertising rates. Not even close. I’m too lazy to go back and check to see if they went up at all. To put it in perspective: they were a good deal even for our 2013 site traffic. They are even more of a steal now. If you’re promoting a race, product, company, etc, and you don’t have it On The Level yet, then what are you waiting for?

Beyond our magazine, website and various social media accounts, you’ve probably already noticed the sharp looking Level Renner singlets popping up at various races. That’s something that we had on our minds from the early stages and just another sign of our growth.

Contact us and we’ll work with you to put together a comprehensive package that will put you in touch with our audience: the Level Legion. By doing so you’ll also be supporting a small business that provides all of its content free to its readers and helps bring the runners back into the spotlight. As little as $50 gets you into the magazine or on the website. How can you go wrong with that? It costs more than that to fill your car up with gas, and trust me, on that one tank of gas you’re not going to reach as many runners as we will for you.

Thanks to everyone, from the contributors to the readers to the advertisers.

For those that need a refresher, this was the gist of the contest:

This month the LEVEL has teamed up with The Greater Boston Running Company and ASICS for a head to toe ASICS prize package including shoes & clothing. All subscribers are entered to win, and more chances to enter will be coming so keep checking in on the Level website and all of our social media channels.

Daniel is new to the Level and just ran the first annual Level Renner 10k. We surprised Daniel with the announcement just after he finished the race. We had no idea what he looked like, only knew that he was number 287. Once he caught his breath, he was able to bask in the glow of victory.

As you can see to the left, Daniel also got himself his very own Scott Mason Photo race pic. That alone is worth celebrating.

This contest was featured in our last monthly subscriber email. If you didn’t win, don’t worry, your next chance is coming up soon. Thanks again to all who came out to support us yesterday at our first event. It was so great to see so many familiar faces and to get know some new faces. We’re already thinking about 2014 and are looking forward to making it a better race.

Here is a brief interview with our latest contest winner:

Sorry for that video quality. Youtube won’t seem to let us upload in HD at the moment. We’ll have to try to fix it later.

karhu gold bear 430x300All of you Loyal Level Legion subscribers out there most likely saw the blurb in our last monthly email about the Karhu contest. Details are finally here. Karhu is offering a up a cool prize pack to help you beat the heat on these hot summer days.

A reader unfamiliar with the intensity of New England summers recently inquired about the conditions in the area in mid-July. Well, if you step into direct sunlight any time in July around here there is a very good chance that you could burn up like some kind of vampire. The multi-channeled fibers of the Craft Cool Mesh Superlight singlet are designed to keep you cool and greatly reduce the risk of any Dracula-like demise.

One lucky winner will receive both a pair of Karhu Flow Light shoes and a Craft Cool Mesh Superlight singlet. Pictured here are the men’s versions of each but the women’s versions are available should a lucky lady be the winner. The contest is open to subscribers only, so be sure to sign up for your free Level subscription if you haven’t already. If you already have one, then you’re in. If you just sign up now, they you’re in too.

There will be chances for bonus entries for you subscribers that follow us through our various social media channels. Contest is open from now until we publish the next issue of the magazine (first week of July). We’ll reveal the winner in the next monthly email, which is the same email that will announce the release of the upcoming issue.

Thanks to Karhu for the hook up, and extra special thanks to the Legion for your enthusiasm about what we’re doing here!

**Note: Winners located outside of the continental US will be responsible for the related shipping costs.
